MS United manager Alan Stables reckons his table topping side will definitely be crowned champions at the end of the season.
Stables believes the league leaders surge has been overdue after the relief of avoiding the drop into Division Two last season.
He is confident his six new recruits, who all played in last year’s Premier Division, will seize the opportunity to impress at a lower level.
“Our performances in the league have been fantastic but it is important not to get too far ahead of ourselves.
“Everyone works hard for each other but words cannot describe how well the new lads have bonded with other members of the team.
“We don’t seem to be carrying any players this season and there is no question we deserve to be at the top of the table.”
Alan’s dad, Bob Stables, who was a scout at Aberdeen for 16 years, believes his son’s side have the potential to win trophies.
The Aberdonian, who helped bring youngsters such as Ryan Jack and Peter Pawlett to the SPL side, said: “Alan will do what it takes to get the lads to play to the best of their abiliy.
“They all seem to galvanize one on other and I see no reason why they cannot keep up their fabulous form.
“The main thing in amateur football is for the guys to take games seriously but at the same time have fun with their friends, especially at training and after the game.”
Throughout the match, MS were everything Kemnay were not – bright, hungry, sharp and creative.
They opened the scoring on 15 minutes. Sam Lucas ran onto an incisive through ball from Michael Robb to deliver a powerful strike past the reach of Niall Walker in the Kemnay goal.
Robb was on the score sheet 10 minutes later when he tucked a delightful header beyond the reach of Walker from a well worked free kick on the edge of the box.
There were telling contributions from Stuart Mcintyre and Steven Scouller as both full-backs were eager to get forward at every opportunity to support Lucas and Robb.
It was Scouller who rattled the visitors post on 35 minutes when a scuffed shot cannoned off Michael Robb to go agonizingly close.
Half-time: 2 – 0
MS made it 3-0 5 minutes after the restart when Robb’s long-range drive flew past the onrushing Walker.
United fashioned the greater number of chances in the second half with Walker twice denying Lucas with his feet before pulling off a sensational one handed save from Robb.
The match soon became damage limitation for the visitors as man of the match Michael Robb secured his hat-trick with a clever lob over Walker to put the game beyond doubt on 65 minutes.
Kemnay grabbed a late consolation when Murray Nicol calmly slotted the ball home to make it 4-1.
