Kincorth Win 2011 North of Scotland Cup

Kincorth 5 – 1 Nicolls Amateurs

Last year’s beaten finalists Kincorth lifted the North of Scotland Cup for the third time thanks to the free-scoring Mark Hutchins who was awarded the Man of the Match Award for his four goals.

Kincorth took charge from the start and forced several corners in the first ten minutes. In sixteen minutes Kincorth’s Buchan and McDonald made a move down the left and Buchan’s shot scraped the top of the bar.

Three minutes later Kincorth’s Mark Hutchins ran on to a cross from Livingstone and beat keeper Webster. Nicolls were struggling in midfield and Kincorth kept pushing them deeper into their own half.

In thirty four minutes Mark Hutchins was allowed to pick his spot and beat keeper Webster with a right foot drive. Kincorth’s pressure forced three corners in as many minutes and goal bound shots were blocked by Nicolls’ Stephen and Reid.

Against the run of play Nicolls’ Michael Ord beat Kincorth’s keeper Stephen with a shot from ten yards making the half time score 2-1.

Four minutes into the second half Nicolls failed to clear the ball upfield and Mark Hutchins pounced and gave keeper Webster no chance from close range.

Two minutes later the star of the show Mark Hutchins received a pass from Buchan twelve yards out and scored his fourth of the game 4-1.

Kincorth went further ahead in sixty one minutes when Paul Smith ran at the defence and his shot hit the back of the net making the final score 5-1.
