Kintore defeated Echt to book their place in Monday evening’s North of Scotland Amateur Cup fourth round draw and Ferryhill joined them in the last sixteen following an extra-time victory at Grammar FPs. University Colts won at Ellon Thistle to go through to the last four of the Stephen Shield and FC Polska progressed to the semi-finals of the Chattan Rovers Cup after edging past Scotstown Rovers.

Just three games went ahead this Saturday. Postal ALC progressed to the third round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy after a 4-0 win over Halliburton. Ellon Amateurs overcame Monymusk 4-3 in a tight Dickie Trophy second round tie. In Division One (East) Glendale gave up home advantage but secured all three points with a 2-0 win over RGU.

Insch defeated Burghmuir to reach the quarter-finals of the White Cup and Blackburn booked their place in the last four of the same competition with a 6-5 victory against Kintore. Hazlehead United continued their defence of the North of Scotland Amateur Cup with an extra-time win over Beacon Rangers while Feughside, Hilton and FC Polska all progressed to the last sixteen of the Dickie Trophy.

Bon-Accord City earned a replay following a 3-3 draw with California in the Scottish Amateur Cup. Woodside defeated AC Mill Inn 3-0 in the North of Scotland Cup, Westhill won 2-1 against Ellon Amateurs in the AFC Trophy and Kintore and Cowie Thistle progressed in the Association Trophy. RGU impressed at Blackburn with a 5-1 victory and Portlethen United’s win against McTeagle increased their Division Three lead.



Results for Saturday 23rd and Monday 25th January

RGU and Glendale shared six goals in their Division One (East) encounter which was played under the floodlights at Kaimhill on Monday evening. On Saturday, Old Aberdonians went out of the Scottish Amateur Cup after suffering a 3-1 defeat away to Blantyre United while Grammar Rovers were 3-0 winners at Ellon Amateurs in the North of Scotland Amateur Cup.

RGU drew 3-3 with Woodside in Division One (East) in the only game to beat the weather this weekend. The result saw Woodside maintain their unbeaten league record and extend the gap at the top of the table to 10 points.

As wintry weather wiped out all local games on the 19th December Echt lost 2-1 at Dalmuir United leaving just two AAFA teams in the Scottish Amateur Cup. Echt v FC Geldie in the Association Cup at Kaimhill on 29th December also fell victim to the weather.

Luthermuir and Tarves both went out of the Scottish Amateur Cup while Echt’s fourth round tie at Dalmuir United was postponed. Lads Club Amateurs defeated St Laurence after extra time in the North of Scotland Amateur Cup and Woodside’s 100% record in Division One (East) finally came to an end when they were held at Johnshaven Athletic.

Bon-Accord City and Old Aberdonians both made it through to the fifth round of the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup and Luthermuir enjoyed a 3-2 win in their delayed third round tie at Dundonald. Bankhead, Sportmans Club and Westhill all progressed in the North of Scotland Amateur Cup and Rattrays XI won at Hilton to extend their lead in Division Two (North).

Insch defeated Kintore in the second round of the Scottish Amateur Cup to set up a trip to Dunoon and there were third round victories for Grammar Rovers and Westdyke. Beacon Rangers picked up three points against Torry United to extend their advantage at the top of Division One (North) and Ellon Amateurs are now eight points clear in Division Two (East) after they won 2-1 at Mintlaw.
