Cove Thistle Lift the Association Trophy

They say lightning does not strike twice in the same place but it did in the final of the Association Cup when Cove scored the winner in the eighty eighth minute from a free kick taken by Paul Gill. The same happened four weeks ago when Cove Thistle’s Joe Gill, brother of Paul, scored the winning goal in the eighty eighth minute giving them the White Cup against tonight’s opponents Stoneywood Amateurs.



Echt 3 – 3 University

With University needing three points to keep their 1st Touch Premier Division title hopes on track it was Echt who salvaged a point after being two goals down in twenty two minutes. Michal Szperzynski started the scoring and Luke Leiper then added a brace for Uni’ while Echt’s Fraser Cerretti also netted twice and Paul Presslie got the other goal for the home side.



Rothie Rovers are Dickie Trophy Winners

Division Two (East) leaders Rothie Rovers picked up their first silverware of the season when they beat Postal ALC in the Colin’s Tyres Dickie Trophy final. Sandy Raffan (2), Steven Sharp and Jamie Millar scored the goals for Rothie while Neil McDonald and Craig Johnston netted for Postal.



Kincorth Win 2011 North of Scotland Cup

Last year’s beaten finalists Kincorth lifted the North of Scotland Cup for the third time thanks to the free-scoring Mark Hutchins who was awarded the Man of the Match Award for his four goals.



Echt Claim the Premier Trophy

Echt got their name on the Premier League Trophy for the second time in four years. After going a goal down in nine minutes they fought back scoring two goals in the second half. Mark Hutchins got Kincorth’s goal with Frazer Cerretti and Paul Presslie scoring the goals for Echt.



AC Mill Inn 1 – 0 Bon Accord City

A 1-0 victory for AC Mill Inn at Mineralwell Park on Saturday leaves Bon-Accord City in the relegation zone in the 1st Touch Football Premier Division. The only goal of the game came in the 64th minute from Mill Inn’s Daniel Crighton.



Nicolls Win the Stephen Shield

Nicolls Amateurs got their name on the Stephen Shield for the second time by winning the Shield which was presented in 1978 to the Association by the late George Stephen (Bunter), Past President of the Aberdeenshire AFA and founder member of Nicolls Ams. Michael Ord, Scott Birnie and Craig Fleming were the goalscorers.



Echt 1 – 3 Nicolls Amateurs

Nicolls Amateurs will take on Kincorth in the final of the North of Scotland Amateur Cup after they defeated Echt 3-1 in their semi-final at Heathryfold on Sunday. First half goals from McNamara and Fleming gave Nicolls the advantage before Echt got one back through an own goal shortly after the break. Ord secured the win for Nicolls with six minutes remaining.



Cove Thistle Win the White Cup

Cove Thistle lifted this season’s White Cup with two goals in the final two minutes. Joe Gill and Edward Esson were the scorers in a tight encounter at Hillhead on Wednesday evening.



Kincorth 3 – 2 Cove Thistle (AET)

A Mark Hutchins hat-trick gave Kincorth a narrow victory over Cove Thistle in the first North of Scotland Cup semi-final. Craig Little scored both goals for Cove as they came from behind twice but were edged out in extra time in an exciting game at Heathryfold on Sunday.
