Bon Accord City 2 – 3 Woodside

Newly promoted Woodside go through to the next round of the Aberdeen Trophy Centre Premier Trophy after beating Premier League Champions Bon Accord in an exciting game. Woodside’s goals came from Gray, Donaldson and Simpson while McLaren and Tiffnay were the scorers for Bon Accord.



Torry Utd 6 – 2 ARI Thistle

Torry Utd got their first win of the season beating ARI Thistle comfortably at Tullos. An Innes hat-trick, two goals from Wright and one from Munro did the damage while Constable and Baldwin scored for the visitors.



Rattrays XI 8 – 1 FC Geldie

Goals galore see Rattrays XI keep up their winning run to go top of 1st Touch Football Division One (North). An own goal had put FC Geldie ahead just seconds into the game but goals from Sean Flett, Pocklington, Forbes, Michie and Smith put them 5-1 ahead at the break. The vistors were much improved in the second half but couldn’t stop the Rattrays goals with two from Jamie Flett and one from Freeland adding to the scoreline.



Kincorth 6 – 2 Kintore

Newly promoted Kintore found it difficult to cope with a Kincorth team who signed five new players in the close season and appointed Dave Reid as manager. The goals for the home side came from Harris (2), Wood, Robertson, Hutchin and Knox. Donald and Innes got the goals for the visitors.



Bon-Accord City 3 – 1 Echt

Bon-Accord City clinched the AAFA Premier Division title for the first time after defeating Echt 3-1 in the championship decider at Balgownie on Saturday. Calum Murray put Echt in front on 40 minutes before Bon-Accord equalised through a Darren Redford header early in the second half. Mark Bartlet then put Bon-Accord ahead on 73 minutes and Scott Craig added a third goal to seal the championship win.



Echt 4 – 3 Westdyke

Super sub Gordon Troup scored two goals as Echt edged out Westdyke in a seven goal thriller on Saturday. The win put Echt two points clear of Bon-Accord City at the top of the Premier Division table but Bon-Accord returned to the top of the table when they defeated Westdyke by a single goal at Balgownie on Wednesday evening. The two title rivals face each other in the final game of the season at Balgownie on Saturday 5th June.



Rattrays XI win the Dickie Trophy

Rattrays XI long serving President Willie Allan was given the honour of picking up the Dickie Trophy after beating Hilton on penalty kicks in an entertaining and exciting game at Hillhead. All the trophies were handed over by AAFA President Jim Napier representing Colin’s Tyres, the sponsors of the competition.



Echt win Inaugural John Todd Memorial Trophy

The inaugural John Todd Memorial Trophy was won by Echt after extra time against Bon Accord City. A crowd of about two hundred turned out on a fine sunny day. Brenda Todd with her two sons Liam and Paul presented the Cup.



Hazlehead Utd 3 – 3 Beacon Rangers

Beacon Rangers put paid to Hazlehead Utd’s title hopes when they drew 3-3 at Hazlehead Academy in a hard fought match. Beacon went 3-1 up with two goals from David Boyle and one from Richard Robb. Hazlehead pegged them back with a Nicky Emslie brace and a goal from Jamie Colvin but despite plenty of pressure in the final 20 minutes they couldn’t find the goal which would have forced a title play-off.



Bon Accord Win AFC Trophy After Extra Time Thriller

Bon Accord substitute William Small was the extra time goal hero as his team won the Aberdeen FC Trophy for the first time in their history. Bon Accord and Cowie Thistle were locked at 2-2 after the 90 minutes with Scott Craig scoring both Bon Accord goals and Neil Fowlier and Ross Adie scoring for Cowie.
