Six first round ties in the Scottish Amateur Cup head the fixture list including Glendale Youth against Fintray Thistle and Bucksburn United’s trip to face Kemnay Youth. It’s second against third in Division One (East) with Stoneywood Amateurs welcoming Blackburn to Webster Park while Scotstown Rovers can go top of Division Two (North) when they take on Bankhead.
AC Mill Inn welcome Mintlaw to Stonehaven in the AFC Trophy on Saturday and there’s a range of other cup action including Mearns United’s trip to face in form Blackburn in the Association Trophy. Feughside have the chance to take over from Burghmuir at the top of Division Two (East) when they face FC Polska while third placed Rothie Rovers entertain Highland Hotel and Mugiemoss Youth host Ferryhill.
The final round of midweek fixtures are scheduled for Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th August. As in previous weeks Divisions Two and Three play on Monday and Premier and One on Wednesday. All games will kick-off at 6.30pm.
This season’s cup action, sponsored by Aberdeen Trophy Centre and Colin’s Tyres, gets underway next Saturday with first round ties in most of the local cup competitions. The Aberdeen FC Trophy tie between Premier rivals Sportsmans Club and Echt looks should be a close affair while there’s another all Premier encounter in the Association Trophy with Bon Accord City travelling to Tarves.
Next week’s midweek games will kick-off at 6.45pm. As usual Divisions Two and Three play on Monday evening and Premier and Firsts onWednesday.
Ellon Thistle and Mearns United meet at The Meadows in Division One (North) after both recording opening day wins while Hazlehead Utd host West End and Great Western United welcome Stonehaven Athletic to the Woodside Sports Complex. FC Geldie visit Heathryfold to take on Rattrays XI, Banchory entertain MS Utd and Bervie Caley visit Lads Club Amateurs.
The evening fixtures get underway next week with Second and Third Division sides in action on Monday and Premier and First Division teams playing on Wednesday. The Premier Division card includes a meeting of last season’s First Division champions as Beacon Rangers travel to Lochside Park to take on Woodside.
The new season gets underway this Saturday with Bon-Accord City starting their defence of the Premier Division title with a trip to Stonehaven to face Cowie Thistle. All five new clubs are in action in Division Three. Cruden Bay face Glentanar Reflex, JS XI host Fintray Thistle, Northern United take on Monymusk and Northern Hotspurs meet Parkway Thistle.
The final two rounds of fixtures take place on 2nd and 5th June. Bon-Accord City host Westdyke on Wednesday evening and the destination of the Premier Division title will then be decided on Saturday when Echt travel to face Bon-Accord at Balgownie.
Dyce take on Echt in the final of the Association Trophy on Wednesday evening. The Aberdeen FC Trophy final will be on Friday with the finalists yet to be decided. Both games are at Hillhead and kick-off at 7.15pm. With plenty of league issues still to be decided there are games on both Monday and Wednesday. League games kick-off at 7.00pm.
